I have to say no. Yao just plays to passive.

I think Yao needs to play smarter. No more dumb fouls. He also needs to get more rebounds. At 7'6, 10+ boards a game is a must.

I dont't like Yao. He is just not the player we had hoped. He does not get enough rebounds, plays too soft, and does not have any hops!! Boo to the Rockets.

I think the houston rockets are going to lose bad this season. Yeah we don't have McGrady right now but we still have 12 other guys, supposedly pretty decent players, but they can't do jack. What is going on?

I vote no. He cannot and does not have the necessary skills of a true superstar. Thus he cannot carry any team.

I guess the question has been answered now. Yes he can. Maybe not against the best teams like San Antonio or Dallas, but yeah he is a force nowadays.

Yao is good at what he does and I think he has lived up to expectations. But hardly Olajuwan material. your right he really should project a better presence in the paint. He is still the Asiain sensation and may perhaps be working into his career. I think he may surprise us with a really good run. instead of working on Strength, he should practice more of the finesse moves. I do have one more: I AM REALLY GETTING SICK OF A 7 FOOTER THROWING UP A FADE AWAY IN THE PAINT. "Take it up Strong Yao!"

I agree, Yao needs to be DOMINATE, meaning taking it up strong. No more layups, fade aways, etc., and more mean dunks! He has done it before, just need to do it a lot more.
