Ten Ren is Taiwan's most famous and wide spread tea company, and sells a lot of relatively harder to find teas, and its a bit pricey as well.
Additionally, some tea purists aren't exactly fans of the company as they use some preservatives to have their tea keep longer. I had an old landlady in Taipei County tell me that as far as she can tell, only foreigners buy from Ten Ren. That's not true, of course.
You will be hard pressed to find many of the teas offered here anywhere else in town, and I highly recommend going in and at least sampling the tea.
Don't be too put off by the Taiwanese staff's enthusiasm-- they just want you to like the tea!
Some recommendations-- if you like darker, heavier tea ask to sample some of the Pu-er(h) and red teas they might have. If you like lighter and medium teas, ask about some of the Green and Oo-long tea. If you like REALLY light tea, ask about yellow and white teas they have
