Hi, Is there anybody who knows where to get authentic Chinese Hot Pot (Huo Guo) in Houston? Haven't had that ever since I came to US for 7 years. Thanks a lot!

I would recommend Sichuan cuisine or Tan Tan Chinese restaurant. They have very good hot pot and very authentic. I've seen QQ Chinese restaurant inside Dun Huang Plaza serving hot pot as well but never had it before. Also, check out this page: www.chinatownconnection.com/chinese_hot_pot_restaurants.htm.

My favorite is Sichuan cuisine especially during the winter time. Their hot and spicy hot pot really warms the body up!

Try Shabu House in Dun Huang Plaza by Ming Li Hair Salon. They serve Japanese style individual hot pot. It is unlike traditional hot pot which has strong soup base. Their soup is very light with no MSG. They have excellent tender beef where you dip them in their ponzu (japanese citrus sauce) or sesame sauce.

I've been wanting to check out Shabu House, but I didn't know how good it was. Now that I hear it's good, I'm gonna try it tonight! Thanks for the review

Aariang Korean Restaurant has really good hot pot! It is quite spicy but very flavourful. And its like 3 bucks during lunch on the weekdays.

I recommend Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot on Westheimer and Fountain View. It is a franchise store worldwide. M-F lunch special is around $10 per person. Dinner would be more expensive. www.littlesheephotpot.com
