My Pick: Fungs Kitchen.
Very authentic Chinese food. Probably the most authentic actually now that I think of it. The Chinese consulate stops by here to eat as well as many other Chinese government officials. It is highly popular among the Asians in Houston, and right when you step into the door, it shows. This is where the Asians dine -- not at P.F. Chang's.
The menu is extensive and exotic. They have duck tongue, chicken feet, frog, and tons of exotic items as well as Chinese classics and even some Vietnamese to cater to the large Vietnamese community in Houston.
Dim Sum here is popular and definitely is one of the best in Houston. Try to come as early as you can since it can get packed despite the large restaurant seating.
Dim Sum, like elsewhere, ends at 3 pm everyday.
Oh and if you can... try to finish off your dim sum with this little fried dessert of which the name escapes me at the moment. But it has crab, shrimp, cream and mango. It is heavenly!
