Try getting away with just a single order of roti canai. This buttery, semiflaky bread is made in-house, hand-tossed and pan-fried. It arrives warm and poofy, with a moist interior and slightly charred surface. Along with a brothy curry sauce for dipping, this is one delicious dish and you can only get it at Cafe Malay.

This is formally known as F*ortune Garden, which I loved as well. My husband and I loved their fried rice and lo-mien; some of the best we had ever had. When we visited for the third time it changed to Cafe Malay. We decided to try it and we were impressed. The staff was attentive and we met the wonderful chef, she was a sweet older woman who was introduced to us as "my wife, the cook" We complimented her and how exceptional everything has always been each time we've visited. I have introduced my friends to this place and will continue to give them my business

This place is so-so in my opinion. It is a hard place to find.. located in an old strip center on Westheimer and Beltway. Food is a bit too bland as well.
