make it a point to seek out the best chinese food in every major city across the US. Some of the best I've found are in NY's Flushing China Town. But, by far the best Chinese food in the US is in ChinaTown in Los Angeles' Metro Area: Alhambra and Monterey Park where it stretches 5-6 city blocks on each sides of I-10. Fung's kitchen is the only restaurant in Houston that comes very close to the quality of food in LA. However, the only draw back at Fung's kitchen is that they are pricy.

Boy, you must not get around much in Houston. I think you need to visit Houston's Chinatown and eat at some of those restaurants. There are plenty of authentic, hardcore Chinese food there.. If you can't find one, let me know and I can give you plenty of suggestions.

I agree with deedee about the pricing. Overpriced Chinese food.

We had enjoyed their Dim Sum there so we tried their dinner menu. What a disappointment!! The food was so not "authentic" Chinese. Definitely do not recommend this place for dinner. Just go there for Dim Sum.

What type of Chinese dish are you looking for? My favorites and the ones I always recommend to my friends are Cafe 101 (in Dun Huang Plaza), Xiong's Cafe (next to Golden Foods Supermarket), and if you like dumplings try this place next to Aariang Korean BBQ.. it doesn't have an English name so sorry about that.
